BIOGRAPHY
Marija Lovrić graduated in 2002 and obtained her Ph.D. in 2007 in Chemistry, both from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science. Her Degree Thesis was made at the Ruđer Bošković Institute on preparation and spectroscopic characterization of new guanidine derivatives. Doctoral Thesis was made at the Croatian pharmaceutical company Belupo Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics, Inc. and Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Medicine on synthesis and biological evaluation of novel biaryl compounds.
She has over 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotech companies mainly in the Research and Development (Belupo, GlaxoSmithKline and Galapagos) and Regulatory Affairs (Genera and Belupo). Also, at the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine she has worked on the EU FP7 Project where she was responsible for development of innovative biodegradable materials for stem cell applications in brain regeneration. She has over 10 scientific publications and has presented at several international conferences. Also, as a Business Technical and Technological Expert she is involved in the review and project evaluation.
